Spa Day At Delaire Graff
DELAIRE GRAFF ESTATE, STELLENBOSCH
Nestled between majestic mountains and overlooking the vineyards of Stellenbosch, Delaire Graff Estate is South Africa’s most desirable wine, hospitality and art destination. The magnificent Cape Winelands property boasts two outstanding restaurants, a state-of-the-art winery, exclusive Lodges and Villa, a destination Spa and luxury boutiques.
Delaire Graff Estate has been on our list of wine farms to visit for a very very long time. Our interest partnered with the news of the estate launching a bespoke wellness menu and revitalised facilities, left us no option but to book the day off and head to the majestic Botmaskop Mountain to discover the true essence of relaxation and try out their new signature spa treatments and a 3-course lunch at Indochine.
Our experience:
THE SPA
Upon arrival at the estate we were welcomed by a friendly team who escorted us to the spa lounge area where the journey to our luxurious day of wellbeing begun. The Afro-Asian inspired spa is a tranquil haven that led us to forget all our petty pleb problems and surrender to the serene settings and get lost in the innovative treatments which involved rituals using the finest range of internationally recognised beauty products.
“The Delaire Graff Spa offers a holistic experience from beginning to end, where our ultimate goal is to transform and heal”, says Hildegard Carstens, Delaire Graff Estate’s new Spa Manager.
It was hard for us to select our treatments as every treatment is just as inviting as the next. The Spa menu consists of the finest holistic healing rituals drawing inspiration from ancient Eastern philosophies, designed to leave the body, mind and soul glowing… we chose the following treatments below:
Terres D’Afrique Deep Tissue:
“Without a doubt the best deep tissue massage that I have ever received. I am incredibly picky when it comes to massage pressure and often struggle to find a therapist who can dig into all the knots, aches and pains… The special touch of petrified wooden tools and warm baobab pindas was what really made this treatment so unique and unforgettable.” Marisa
Black Pearl Body Illumination Therapy:
“This treatment was a trio of spoils, it started off with a full body polish, using a lemon grass scented scrub that smelt like heaven. Then a firm and deep back and neck massage – pressure was to perfection. Then to end it all off I was to the Rolls Royce of all facials – the 24 Kt gold Black Pearl facial, using only the most lavish ingredients including organic oils, diamond dust, nano gold and collagen – I finally got the pregnancy glow that everyone’s been talking about… it only took 9 months.” Nicole
