Smoothie Dedications

There’s been a huge demand from our readers, friends and family, begging us for more sexy smoothie recipes! Ok we lie… it’s only been about five of you (who are about to be named and shamed). So as promised here are some awesome recipes for you to try every day of the week.

We’ve decided to dedicate and name each smoothie after our fab friends who are big smoothie and WITC fans, just to keep things interesting!

WITC, keeping one healthy hipster happy one day at a time…    

The Loyalist: This goes out to our biggest fan Brynne Fortuin! Thank you for the likes, the love and all your support.

Look and feel better than you have in years with this little green number.

Two handfuls of kale/spinach
½ avocado (pitted and peeled)
¼ cucumber
1 medium nectarine (pitted)
½ cup blueberries
1 frozen banana
1 cup cubed pineapple
Add water or coconut milk – Blend – Enjoy!

The Hormone Helper:
Dedicated to all our preggie friends – with a special mention to the yummy mummies to be, Ilze Bylos and Lauren Goodall, who make pregnancy look oh so glamorous!

The change is inevitable, you just gotta give your body what it needs.

¼ small raw beet
10 red seedless grapes
2 small broccoli florets
10 raspberries
4 strawberries
1 tbsp goji berries
1 tbsp of grated ginger
1 frozen banana
Add water or coconut water – Blend – Enjoy!

¼ cup blueberry

1 cup of mango chunks
1 cup cubed pineapple
1 orange (peeled)
1 carrot
1/8 cup pumpkin seeds

2 handfuls swiss chard/spinach
1 cup chopped pineapple
1 kiwi
1 pear
12 almonds
1 tbsp chia seeds

All nuts and plenty nana: This is dedicated to all the boys out there, pumped with protein and full of flavour, this smoothie is bound to bring out the man in you.

2 frozen bananas
3 dates
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 tsp cocao
1 tsp cinnamon
Handful of almonds/peanuts/cashews
2 tbsp full cream plain yoghurt
Add coconut milk – Blend – Enjoy!
