Shape up with Daniela
Daniela is a personal trainer based at the Sea Point Pilates Studio in Regent Road, Cape Town and offers both indoor and outdoor training sessions. She specialises in Pilates, functional movement, body conditioning and boxing. In short – she’s there to get you looking damn hot.
We got to try out one of Daniela’s kickass outdoor group training sessions on the Sea Point promenade one fine winters morn. Before we knew it and had time to wipe the sleep from our eyes we were sprinting, skipping, lunging and giving it horns. Don’t be fooled by her bubbly and warm personality, when trainer mode kicks in she’s bound to make that butt burn. Daniela is meticulous about form, making sure you are always in the correct position to prevent injuries, this is something we feel most trainers over look and most students undervalue. We both have niggles and a few minor injuries, so we find this incredibly important to have a trainer that has the knowledge and expertise ensuring you are not doing any more damage (ok enough of the serious stuff).
If you are a beginner or just wanting to step it up a little, Daniela will customise the group class to fit your personal fitness level. All you have to do is sign up, rock up and the rest is taken care of. Skipping ropes, weights and all other equipment is supplied by Daniela… so no excuses ladies! Not only is it a full body workout incorporating both cardio and weights but also these classes are sustainable i.e. you’re not going to burn out in the first week.
