Reformer Classes At Flex Pilates
Flex Pilates is a Premier Group Reformer Pilates Studio in South Africa, offering one of the most sought after workouts loved by international celebrities and athletes. Flex Pilates believes it is important to offer clients the best and most effective workout and that is why they have chosen to specialize in the popular Group Reformer Pilates Method. In addition to their traditional Flex Pilates equipment classes, they also offer a variety of fusion classes including Flex Cardio, Flex Barre and Flex TRX (depending on location). These unique classes are designed to increase strength, stamina and flexibility, leaving you with a new appreciation for your strong toned and supple body!
Our peaceful morning Pilates session in the burbs was such a refreshing change from the usual chaotic city rush we usually find ourselves in. Founder, Crystal and her Californian charm warmly welcomed us into the studio giving us a quick run through of what to expect during the class. This slick, modern studio is kitted out with the latest Reformer and Pilates equipment, so there’s no need to bring anything along to the class.
It really is unique as most of our experiences with reformers have been in smaller studios only offering one or two reformers. Flex Pilates offer six individual equipment stations, where clients receive semi-private hands on instruction for the duration of the class. Although the classes are intimate, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming of all levels with the option to increase or decrease resistance depending on your personal fitness goals.
Operating a reformer can be quite intimidating with all the snazzy gadgets and equipment, but Crystal is quick to offer assistance and guide you through your positions altering your stance and posture to ensure you get the best workout possible. We left feeling recharged, stretched and balanced!

A free intro class is available to all new clients who may be new to the Pilates method or intimidated by the equipment. Also, for those of you recovering from an injury, returning after pregnancy or just looking to take your practice to the next level, Flex Pilates also offers private sessions during non-group training hours.
